Future Plans of the Department
The Department of Agricultural Economics' programs for the 2025-2026 academic year are as follows:
1. Monthly "Scientific and Educational Events of the Department of Agricultural Economics," held with the participation of doctoral students in the department's Econometrics Workshop.
2. A specialized webinar on "New Research Frontiers in Agricultural Economics in Europe and America," presented by Dr. Mohammad Tirgari, a researcher from Michigan State University (in collaboration with the Student Scientific Association of Agricultural Economics at the University of Kurdistan and the Iranian Agricultural Economics Association), on November 28, 2025.
3. A workshop on "The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Research, Adhering to Ethical Principles and Preventing Plagiarism," conducted by Dr. Parisa Alizadeh (in collaboration with the Student Scientific Association of Agricultural Economics and the Vice-Presidency for Cultural Affairs of the University of Kurdistan), on December 1, 2025.
4. A practical workshop on "Applied Analytic Network Process (ANP) using Super Decisions Software," led by Ms. Shima Faraji, M.Sc. (in collaboration with the Student Scientific Association of Agricultural Economics and the Vice-Presidency for Cultural Affairs of the University of Kurdistan), on December 2, 2025.

A session of the specialized "COMFAR Training Course," presented by Dr. Ravasizadeh, a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and a senior expert in business analysis and development (in collaboration with the Student Scientific Association of Agricultural Economics at the University of Kurdistan and the Iranian Agricultural Economics Association), on December 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2025.
6. A webinar on "The Career Path to Becoming an Official Justice Expert," presented by Dr. Seyed Pedram Ninio (in collaboration with the Student Scientific Association of Agricultural Economics and the Vice-Presidency for Cultural Affairs of the University of Kurdistan), on December 5, 2025.
7. A brainstorming session and interactive event with the President of the National Elite Foundation of Kurdistan Province, in March 2026.
8. A brainstorming session and interactive event with the President of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineering Organization of Kurdistan Province, in May 2026.
