Faculty Goals
• Training specialised, committed and capable human resources in various fields of agriculture, horticulture, livestock production and related industries, in line with the needs of the region and the country
• Improving the quality of higher agricultural education through the use of experienced faculty members, educational infrastructure and modern teaching and learning methods
• Developing applied, problem-oriented and effective research to address the challenges of the agricultural, livestock production and related industries of Kurdistan Province
• Contributing to the development of sustainable agriculture and the preservation of natural resources, with an emphasis on optimal management of water, soil, plants, livestock and the environment
• Increasing productivity in agricultural and livestock production by relying on knowledge, technology and innovation
• Strengthening the university's relationship with the executive, production and exploitation sectors to transfer knowledge, technology and scientific experience
• Developing applied, skills, and entrepreneurship training to improve graduates' employability
• Supporting innovation, technological ideas, and knowledge-based activities in agriculture, livestock production, and related industries
• Actively participating in ensuring food security, community health, and regional economic development
• Giving special attention to the climatic, social, and economic conditions of Kurdistan Province in educational and research planning
• Expanding agricultural culture, promotion, education, and training to empower farmers and livestock producers
• Playing an effective role in the scientific, social, and sustainable development of western Iran as one of the long-standing and reference faculties of the University of Kurdistan
