Degree Programs  of Agricultural Economics Department
Number of Programs: At Bachelor degree there is only one program as title as BE in Agricultural economics. But at MSc degree there are four sub branches as following:
  1. Agricultural Production and Management Economics
  2. Natural Resource and Environmental Economics
  3. Agricultural Policy and Development
  4. Agricultural marketing
  • The curriculum for the doctoral program in the Department of Agricultural Economics, in accordance with the latest syllabus approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (2016), consists of 18 credit units offered over three semesters. The program includes 6 credits of core courses (Advanced Microeconomics and Macroeconomics) in the first semester, 6 credits of specialization courses in the second semester, and 6 credits of elective courses (Advanced Econometrics and Advanced Mathematical Programming) in the third semester.   • The curriculum for the Master's program in the Department of Agricultural Economics, based on the latest syllabus approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (2021), comprises 26 credit units offered over three semesters. The structure of this program includes 9 credits of core courses (Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Intermediate Mathematical Programming) in the first semester; 12 credits in the second semester (including a 3-credit core course in the Application of Econometrics in Agriculture, 6 credits of specialization courses, and 3 credits of elective courses); and 5 credits in the third semester (including a 3-credit specialization course and 2 credits of elective courses).   • The curriculum for the Bachelor's program in the Department of Agricultural Economics, in accordance with the latest syllabus approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (2021), includes 130 credit units offered over 8 semesters. This program consists of 22 credits of general and Islamic studies courses, 9 credits of basic science courses (Mathematics, Statistics, and Probability), 95 credits of specialized courses in agriculture and agricultural economics, and 4 credits of elective courses.
