Introduction to the Directorate of Academic Affairs
The Directorate of Academic Affairs operates to create coordination between the academic affairs offices of the faculties and other relevant units for the proper implementation of educational regulations and bylaws, as well as to manage the administrative affairs of students, addressing and taking appropriate action on assigned matters. This directorate is a subdivision of the Vice-Presidency for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies and consists of the Academic Services Office, the Graduates Affairs Office, and the Office of the Director of Academic Affairs. The educational matters related to this directorate are carried out in its subsidiary offices and the director's office, under the supervision of the Director of Academic Affairs.
Office of the Director General of Academic Affairs:
Preparing and dispatching academic circulars; responding to various educational inquiries and guiding undergraduate students; conducting necessary correspondence with units and departments within the university, other universities, ministerial departments, and external organizations; planning the academic software based on the university's academic calendar; and implementing the resolutions of the Academic Council and the Special Cases Committee.Academic Services Office:
Planning and coordinating the registration of students admitted through the national entrance examination; managing academic exemption and military service affairs for eligible male students; reviewing guest student or transfer requests (both incoming and outgoing); processing requests for internal change of major or change of major combined with a transfer; recording grades for guest students and processing course equivalencies for credits earned at previous universities or in former majors; and managing the commitment cancellation process for withdrawn and expelled students through the Ministry of Science's SAJAD system.
Graduates Affairs Office:
Referring graduates to the Military Service Administration to cancel their academic exemption; issuing academic verifications and transcripts for graduates; managing the process of cancelling the free education service commitment for graduates through the Ministry of Science's SAJAD system; issuing academic credentials (temporary certificates and official diplomas); and reviewing and verifying the documents of graduates from non-profit institutions within the province.
