Message from the Vice President
"In the name of God, the Lord of life and wisdom"
Dear Colleagues, Esteemed Researchers, and Creative Students,
Today, the University of Kurdistan, as the vibrant heart of research in western Iran, bears a historic responsibility to society, industry, and the future of this land. In the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Technology, we commit ourselves to charting a clear path toward these goals, relying on the principles of scientific belief, social responsibility, and innovation:
1. Research: The Axis of Sustainable Development
- Our research must address the tangible problems of society: from the Zagros water crisis to the development of smart agriculture, from public health to the preservation of Kurdistan's cultural heritage.
- In addition to applied research, we must open new doors of knowledge to society; therefore, conducting effective fundamental research is one of this office's objectives.
- Every research project, every article, and every invention must leave a footprint of hope for the future of the province.
2. The University: A Bridge Between Thought and Action
- We are the bridge connecting the university, society, industry, and government.
- We invite the industries and organizations of the province: share your needs with us.
- We promise our researchers that through the Growth Center, Innovation Center, and the Office of Community and Industry Relations, we will make every effort to turn your ideas into technology and wealth.
3. Quality: Our Red Line
- Instead of mere quantification, we have prioritized the production of impactful science.
- Our financial support will be conditional on quality, innovation, and problem-solving capability.
4. Kurdistan: The Living Land of Our Research
- This land, with its biodiversity, cultural richness, and unique challenges, is a living museum for research.
- Our main priorities:
- Macro-projects for water resource management;
- Development of sustainable tourism;
- Technologies compatible with the mountainous climate;
- Intercultural studies to strengthen social cohesion.
5. A Call for Co-creation
We invite all faculty members, students, and partners outside the university:
- Let us make ethics, transparency, and integrity in research our guiding principles.
- Design joint applied projects.
- Let us institutionalize a culture of "scientific courage": test new ideas without fear of failure!
Our Promise to You:
- Supporting researchers in conducting impactful research.
- Transforming this office into a safe home for your ideas.
- Continuously pursuing the commercialization of research achievements.
- Honoring socially responsible researchers as heroes of provincial and national development.
We firmly believe that:
The University of Kurdistan, with your collaboration, can create influential scientific currents in Iran and the world.
We are with you on the path of research-driven progress for the province.
