Greetings and respect to the distinguished faculty, dear students, esteemed researchers, and all respected visitors to the website of the Faculty of Natural Resources at the University of Kurdistan.

It is with great pleasure that, as the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources at the University of Kurdistan, I have the honor of serving in one of the most significant and dynamic faculties of natural resources in the country. Through this electronic portal, I am delighted to engage in a dialogue with you.

The Faculty of Natural Resources at the University of Kurdistan, building on its distinguished history and rich scientific and research foundation, has consistently been a pioneer in education, research, and innovation in fields related to the sustainable management of natural resources. Our primary mission is to cultivate a generation of committed and capable specialists who, with a profound understanding of natural ecosystems and environmental challenges, can provide scientific and practical solutions for the conservation, restoration, and wise utilization of these divine blessings.

In the current era, the importance of environmental preservation and natural resource management has become more evident than ever. Global crises such as climate change, water scarcity, soil erosion, deforestation, rangeland degradation, and the loss of biodiversity all underscore the urgent need for expertise and knowledge in this domain. Our faculty, situated in the heart of a region as rich in natural endowments as Kurdistan—with its vast oak forests, lush rangelands, abundant water resources, and unique biodiversity—offers unparalleled opportunities for applied education and field research.

By leveraging our experienced and dedicated faculty members, well-equipped laboratories, and active engagement with relevant industries and organizations, we have created a dynamic environment for learning and growth. Our diverse academic programs, including Forestry, Rangeland and Watershed Management, Environmental Science, Fisheries, Climatology, and Geomorphology, provide a suitable platform for nurturing specialists across various dimensions of natural resources.

I invite all our dear students, the future builders of this nation, to step forward on the path of knowledge with enthusiasm and passion, and through their perseverance, to add to the honors of this faculty and university.
