    Introduction

    Sports and physical activities in university environments, in addition to maintaining the physical and mental health of students and staff, provide a vital platform for discovering talents, strengthening the spirit of empathy, and developing a culture of health. As the main custodian for planning, guiding, and supervising all sports activities, the University Physical Education Management strives to inject enthusiasm and vitality into the university community by providing standard facilities and diverse programs.

    Relying on upstream documents and macro policies, this management is responsible for numerous key duties to promote public and championship sports, which are detailed below.

    Main Goals and Duties of Physical Education Management With the aim of popularizing and expanding sports among students and staff, the University Physical Education Management pursues diverse missions in executive, supervisory, and planning areas. The most important of these duties are:

    1. Planning and Executing Sports Events (Intramural and Extramural) One of the most dynamic parts of this management's performance is creating healthy and lively competitions, which include the following:

  • Holding Internal Events: Comprehensive planning for holding sports olympiads and intramural sports festivals to increase public participation.

  • Presence in National and Regional Arenas: Precise planning for preparation, forming teams, and participating in provincial, regional, and national competitions, as well as extramural sports olympiads and festivals.

  • Periodic Competitions: Holding regular sports competitions and continuous supervision over their proper execution.

  • 2. Human Resources and Sports Technical Staff Management Success in university sports requires the guidance of specialized and experienced coaches:

  • Attracting Instructors and Coaches: Selecting qualified sports coaches for various active sports disciplines throughout the academic year.

  • Supervising Performance: Precise evaluation and supervision of the performance of sports coaches and controlling their efficient functioning.

  • 3. Development of Sports Infrastructure and Equipment Maintaining and developing sports spaces and facilities is a prerequisite for the development of university sports:

  • Maintenance and Utilization: Precise supervision over the maintenance and optimal utilization of university sports installations, fields, and facilities in cooperation with other relevant units.

  • Equipment Provision: Forecasting needs and supervising the procurement process of sports equipment required by students and staff.

  • Discipline Development: Providing the necessary facilities and platforms for expanding and popularizing various new and popular sports disciplines across the university.

  • General Administration: Managing all physical education affairs of university students according to regulations.

  • Implementing Macro Policies: Precise implementation of established policies and guidelines regarding university sports activities.

  • Educational Evaluation: Accurate evaluation of students' work regarding the "Physical Education Course Unit" through designing and conducting practical assessment and physical fitness tests.

  • Cooperation with the Sports Council: Proposing structural and necessary programs to the University Sports Council, precisely preparing its minutes, and following up on the implementation and execution of approved programs.

  • 5. Culture-Building and Creating Motivation

  • Facilities and Encouragement: Creating necessary welfare and motivational facilities, as well as constantly encouraging and persuading students and university staff to participate actively in sports and public activities.

  • Assigned Duties: Performing other duties and missions assigned by the higher authority in line with the sublime goals of the university.
