Announcement of the 1405 Summer Semester at the University of Kurdistan

 This is to inform all undergraduate students that the 1405 summer semester at the University of Kurdistan will be conducted exclusively via virtual platforms. 

Dear students, please read this announcement with the utmost attention. 

Students from the University of Kurdistan and other universities affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Payame Noor University, Islamic Azad University, the University of Applied Science and Technology, and non-profit higher education institutes are eligible to register for the 1405 summer semester at the University of Kurdistan.

Information Regarding the 1405 Summer Semester

- Commencement of Registration and Course Selection: From 08:00 on 1405/04/24 until 23:59 on 1405/04/25 via the online system.

- Instructional Period: From 1405/04/27 to 1405/06/05 (All registration and course selection processes are virtual; physical presence is not required for applicants).

- Final Examinations: From 1405/06/10 to 1405/06/12 to be held in person.

- Submission of Grades for Guest Students: 1405/06/25

- Tuition Payment: Online during course selection (Payment of the full tuition, including fixed and variable fees, is mandatory).

- Venue: All classes for the 1405 summer semester will be held virtually (online) via the university's Virtual Learning Management System at vclass.uok.ac.ir; there is no need to visit the faculties or the main university campus.

Rules and Regulations

1.      In the 1405 summer term, students are permitted to enroll in a maximum of 9 credit units. 
2.  Adherence to course prerequisites is mandatory (Guest students from other universities bear full responsibility for compliance with prerequisites).  
3.      Add/drop operations are not available during the summer term.
4.  Tuition fees are collected at the time of registration. Once registered, fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including non-attendance, withdrawal, or course deletion by the student.
5. The student is responsible for any discrepancies between the units taken and the provided introduction letter; the university assumes no responsibility for changes, transfers, or communication with the home university regarding such discrepancies or tuition refunds.
6. The student is responsible for any errors in the registered personal details, major, or the name of the home university; the university is not responsible for correcting or resending grades.
7. If a course is canceled due to low enrollment, the tuition will be refunded by the University Financial Management after approval by the Faculty's Academic Vice-Presidency.
8. The duration of the summer term is 6 weeks, excluding the examination period.
9.  All classes in the 1405 summer term will be conducted virtually (online), while all examinations will be held in person.
10.     The minimum number of students required to form a class will be determined by the University Academic Council.
11.     Students of the University of Kurdistan are not permitted to take summer courses at other universities if the same course is offered at the University of Kurdistan.
12. Attendance in all sessions is mandatory. If absences exceed the regulatory limit, a grade of zero will be recorded. If a valid excuse is provided and approved before the examinations, the course may be dropped; otherwise, a grade of zero will be applied.
13.  Dormitory, catering, and transportation services are not provided during the summer term; these are the sole responsibility of the student.
14.  Classes will not be held on official public holidays. 
15.  Any changes to the class schedule, examinations, or other plans will be announced through the official University of Kurdistan website.
16.  The student bears full responsibility for any consequences arising from non-compliance with rules and regulations.

Registration and Course Selection Steps for 1405 Summer Term - University of Kurdistan Students

1.  Login to the academic system and complete the online tuition payment.
2.  Online course selection by the student via: Registration Menu > Registration Operations > Summer Term Registration > Summer Term Registration at this University.
3.  Payment of the remaining balance through the Electronic Tuition Payment menu.

Registration and Course Selection Steps for 1405 Summer Term - Guest Students from Other Universities

1.  Visit the University of Kurdistan website at https://uok.ac.ir  and select the Golestan Comprehensive Academic System golestan.uok.ac.ir (Select "Guest Applicant").
2. Complete and save the guest registration form, including identification details, address, home university details, and the list of approved courses, and upload the introduction letter from the home university.
3. Obtain a student ID number from the Golestan system.
4. Re-login to Golestan using the Guest Student ID and National ID Number.
5. Complete the online payment for the calculated fixed tuition fee (available on the course selection page).
6. Proceed with course selection using the Guest Registration Guide file.

Very Important Note: The summer term at the University of Kurdistan will be held virtually (online); therefore, ensure the following points are considered in your home university's introduction letter:

A- If the home university's letter stipulates that credits are only valid if the term is held in person, this university will prevent the student from taking those courses.

B- For Islamic Studies courses (maximum 2 units), the number of previously completed units must be mentioned in the introduction letter.

Important Note: Correct submission of all information in the guest registration form, particularly personal details and home university information (including name, address, and postal code for sending grades), is essential for the issuance of the semester transcript. The student is responsible for any consequences resulting from incorrect data entry.

1.  Online payment of the calculated variable tuition fee.

Guest students must enter the proposed course titles in the 1405 Summer Term electronic registration form exactly as they appear in the introduction letter from their home university.
