In a decree issued by Dr. Adel Si-o-Se Mardeh, President of the University of Kurdistan, Mr. Reza Esfahani has been appointed as the new Acting Director of University Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Effective from April 20, 2026, this appointment was made in recognition of his commitment and valuable experience in the field of ICT, and in line with the implementation of the university's new organizational structure aimed at strengthening digital transformation.

Mr. Esfahani previously served as the Senior Expert-in-Charge of the university's Information and Communications Technology Group. The appointment decree emphasizes the critical role of this directorate in developing stable and secure infrastructures, particularly in light of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and digital services. Among the key missions entrusted to the new acting director are leading the development of network and server infrastructures, elevating information production and exchange security (AFTA), and providing technological support for the university's smart initiatives using emerging technologies. Furthermore, he is expected to leverage scientific management and a forward-looking vision to enhance productivity and transparency in the university's academic and administrative processes.
