According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the results of the 15th edition of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings were released for 2025, and the University of Kurdistan solidified its international standing amidst competition from 1,745 universities across 105 countries.
Managed by the University of Indonesia, this ranking system is the most prestigious global benchmark for assessing the commitment of higher education institutions to environmental responsibilities and sustainable resource management.

Performance Analysis Across Six Key Indicators
Based on the detailed scorecard, the University of Kurdistan achieved a total of 5,298 points, recording significant performance, particularly in infrastructure and energy sectors. The breakdown of scores in key indicators is as follows:

  • Energy and Climate Change: 1,375 points (Highest score achieved)

  • Setting and Infrastructure: 1,050 points

  • Transportation: 973 points

  • Education and Research: 950 points

  • Waste Management: 500 points

  • Water Management: 450 points
