Esteemed students are hereby informed that the application period for changing majors (either internal or accompanied by a transfer) will commence on 1405/05/01 and conclude on 1405/05/15. Applicants may submit their requests via the "Service Desk" (Pishkhan-e Khedmat) in the Golestan System. Adherence to the following conditions is mandatory:

• Attaining the minimum required score for the requested major and institution (to be verified by the Education Specialist).

• Completion of at least one-sixth and a maximum of two-thirds of the total units required in the original major.

• Obtaining the mandatory approval from both the source and destination academic departments.

• Changing from "Evening" (tuition-based) programs to "Day" (tuition-free) programs is not permitted.

• Changing from "Admission based on academic records" (without entrance exam) to "Exam-based" majors is not permitted.

• Changing majors or transferring is permitted only once during the entire course of study.

• Final results of the applications will be announced by late September.

Important Notes:

1. Students are authorized to submit only one request in the Golestan System. The specific major code must be retrieved from the "Admission Booklet" corresponding to the student's year of entry (available on the Sanjesh Organization website) and recorded in the application.

2. Due to potential discrepancies between the student's eligible units and those of their peers in the new major, students may face limitations in unit selection, which could lead to a delay in graduation.

3. Upon graduation, the student's rank is calculated based on their original year of admission. For example, a student admitted in September 2025 (1404) who changes majors after several semesters will still be considered a "September 2025 entry." Consequently, their rank will be compared with other students of the same entry year in the new major. Furthermore, if the student fails to complete three-quarters of the curriculum units within six semesters or does not graduate within eight semesters, they will be ineligible for the "Admission without Examination" quota for the Master’s degree.

4. Male students subject to mandatory military service must ensure that their educational exemption is updated to reflect the new major.
