In a meeting attended by the Head of the Elites Foundation and faculty members of the University of Kurdistan, the support schemes and facilities of the National Elites Foundation were detailed, emphasizing the necessity of identifying talented students, attracting research projects, and expanding university cooperation with the foundation.

Introduction of National Elites Foundation Support Schemes and Facilities at the University of Kurdistan / Emphasis on Cooperation between the University of Kurdistan and the Elites Foundation

With the aim of familiarizing the academic and scientific departments of the University of Kurdistan with the facilities and supports of the National Elites Foundation—particularly the "Shahid Vazvaei Scheme" (granting student facilities), the "Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Scheme" (supporting problem-oriented research and technology cores), and the recruitment scheme for priority fields—a meeting was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the conference hall of the Faculty of Science at this university.

During this session, the schemes, objectives, and facilities of the National Elites Foundation, which are awarded to support both students and professors, were explained by Dr. Ronak Daghigh, the Head of the Provincial Elites Foundation.

Referring to the direct benefits of the Shahid Vazvaei scheme for top-talented students and its indirect advantages for professors, she stated: "All universities in Kurdistan Province must provide the grounds for a larger number of students to utilize the foundation's services and facilities through extensive information dissemination, identifying their talented students, and presenting the aforementioned scheme to them."

Dr. Daghigh added: "By implementing the Shahid Ahadi, Shahid Chamran, Shahid Shahriyari, Shahid Ahmadi Roshan, and Shahid Vazvaei schemes, the National Elites Foundation has provided significant opportunities and capacities to support the scientific elites of universities."

In conclusion, she emphasized the necessity for increased cooperation between the university and the Elites Foundation center, stating: "The province's universities should introduce more projects to the Elites Foundation so that Kurdistan Province can also benefit from these capacities."

Emphasis on Attracting Research Projects and Cooperation with the Elites Foundation

Continuing the meeting, the Vice-President for Research and Innovation of the University of Kurdistan emphasized the necessity of increasing interaction and cooperation between this university and the provincial Elites Foundation center.

Bahman Bahramnejad, referring to the importance of promoting the university's scientific reputation, said: "This goal requires a diligent and collective effort at the university level."

He further emphasized the necessity of progress and promotion of the university's scientific departments, adding: "It is essential to change our movement and trajectory toward enhancing the university's scientific capacities by attracting research projects and increasing cooperation with the provincial Elites Foundation."
