In Line with Expanding University-Industry and Societal Relations:

A Consultative Meeting of University of Kurdistan Faculty Members for Developing Ties with Industry and Society was Held

A consultative meeting for faculty members applying for sabbatical opportunities in society and industry was held, attended by members of the University Innovation Council and directors from the Vice-Presidency for Research and Innovation at the University of Kurdistan.

According to the University of Kurdistan Public Relations, the meeting aimed to examine strategies for developing faculty relations with the industrial and societal sectors, facilitate the process of faculty participation in sabbatical programs, and strengthen scientific and research collaborations with organizations and companies.

The meeting was organized by the Center for University-Industry and Societal Relations for faculty members who are required to complete a sabbatical period in society or industry for academic promotion or tenure track status.

Participants were invited to share their experiences from these sabbatical opportunities and discuss the challenges and obstacles encountered during the period, enabling the university to facilitate and provide more suitable conditions for the implementation of future sabbatical programs.

During the session, faculty members who had participated in society and industry sabbatical programs presented their experiences, achievements, and the challenges faced while interacting with various sectors outside the university.

One of the primary objectives of this meeting was to strengthen the university's connection with society and industry, expand joint collaborations, and enhance the university's effective role in identifying and resolving societal and industrial issues.
