Conduct of the Second Stage (Specialized Assessment) of the 2026 Semi-Centralized Ph.D. Entrance Examination
The second stage (specialized assessment) of the 2026 semi-centralized Ph.D. entrance examination was held at the University of Kurdistan with the participation of qualified candidates. This process, representing a crucial step for admission to the doctoral level, was conducted in person in accordance with the planning of the University's Vice-Presidency for Academic Affairs.
According to the official university announcement, qualified candidates uploaded their documents and registered via the university system between May 25 and May 29, 2026. In line with the scheduled timeline, interviews commenced on May 30 and continued until June 2, 2026.
During this period, six faculties hosted applicants for 39 academic programs. Faculty members across various departments evaluated the candidates' academic and research backgrounds, as well as their specialized competencies.
To facilitate the process and ensure rapid response to inquiries, the University of Kurdistan launched an online support system (Goftino), through which all necessary guidance was provided to the candidates.
It is noteworthy that, in accordance with university planning to respect candidates and ensure fair opportunities, June 21 and June 22, 2026, have been designated as make-up dates for interviews with candidates who missed their initial appointments, ensuring that no candidate is excluded from the competitive process due to unforeseen circumstances.
In conclusion, the Vice-President for Academic Affairs expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts and dedication of all organizers.
