Coordination Meeting for Arbaeen and Martyrs' Commemoration Held at the University of Kurdistan:
Academic Participation in Arbaeen Pilgrimage Continues; Executive Activities for Martyrs' Commemoration Underway
A coordination meeting regarding Arbaeen programs and the Martyrs' Commemoration was held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the University of Kurdistan. Hosted in the President's Office conference hall, the session was attended by university officials and relevant stakeholders.
According to the University Public Relations, the meeting reviewed the latest measures and planning for the academic delegation's participation in the Arbaeen pilgrimage and the progress of the Martyrs' Commemoration.
At the outset of the session, Dr. Adel Seosemarde, President of the University of Kurdistan, expressed his gratitude for the academic community's participation in the funeral of the martyred leader, noting that the ceremony was conducted successfully.
Regarding the Arbaeen pilgrimage, he stated: "As in previous years, academics will participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, with registration anticipated to commence on July 26."
He further noted that executive activities for the Martyrs' Commemoration are ongoing, highlighting the positive steps taken. He requested all university units to submit their activity reports by the end of the week to facilitate the preparation of a comprehensive progress report.
