The Sports Science Research and Laboratory Unit is a section within the Department of Sports Sciences, located in a space of approximately 150 square meters in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This unit was established in 2006 in response to the growing need among faculty and students of Sports Sciences for research involving the assessment and measurement of various physiological and psychological parameters.

Laboratory Equipment:

  • Treadmill

  • Cycle Ergometer

  • Electromyography (EMG) System

  • Body Composition Analyzer

  • Equipment for blood analysis, including lactate and glucose analyzers

  • Spirometer (for measuring respiratory volumes)

  • Electrocardiograph (ECG) System

  • Reaction Time Measurement Device

  • Gas Analyzer (for respiratory gas analysis)

  • Psycho-motor Analyzer (for measuring psycho-motor factors)

  • Dynamometer

  • Body Composition Measurement Devices

Since its establishment, thousands of experiments have been conducted within the framework of various sports science courses, including Exercise Physiology, Physical Fitness, Motor Learning and Development, as well as for student projects and theses. Additionally, the instructional aids available in the laboratory are utilized for conducting classes in Anatomy, First Aid, Lifesaving, and Massage.
