Message from the Director

Dear Researchers and Students,

The Dr. Hedayat Ghazanfari Center for Research and Development of Northern Zagros Forestry, with a strong commitment to the fundamental principles of natural resource management—particularly the conservation, restoration, and sustainable development of forests—strives to play a significant role in the protection, rehabilitation, and sustainable management of the Zagros forests. To achieve this goal, the Center draws upon up-to-date scientific knowledge, innovative technologies, the development of research infrastructure, and close collaboration with researchers, faculty members, and students from across the country.

By providing a supportive environment for innovative research, the Center seeks to develop science-based solutions to the challenges facing the region’s natural resources. Addressing the needs of local communities, valuing indigenous and traditional knowledge, and promoting participatory management approaches are among the Center’s core priorities in advancing forest conservation and achieving sustainable development.

I warmly invite researchers, students, and all those interested in natural resources and environmental sustainability to join us in our scientific and research activities.
